Gisteren is anders
Een duet van Anders Schlanbusch als afstudeerproject aan de School voor Nieuwe Dansontwikkeling in Amsterdam, in samenwerking met Palo Zustiak.
'They could be brothers, they could be friends.
Anyway, they're together, the two men.
They must have been this way for a while.
And probably will be for much longer.
Till death them part.
For the pain of being together is preferable to the pain of being alone.
Two men, two extremities joining each other.
There's always some Laurel & Hardy in that.
One solid, earthly and caring like mother Nature herself.
One skinny, fragile and self-absorbed, presumably ill.
But things are not what they seem.
Who needs whom?
Who will kill whom?
Not that there's any killing going on, for as far as we can see.
It's not that dramatic.
It's a more common story of impossibility, impotence, immobility and all the attempts to change and exchange.
Mainly in vain.
But in the mean time the clock runs mercilessly.'
