Holoceen 3 - Bonanza
You'll find an English version under the Dutch text.
Hun motto was: Get in, get rich, get out.

Bonanza is a documentary of a deserted mining town in the centre of the USA. There used to live more than six thousand people in this area, surrounded by thirty six saloons, seven dance halls and lots of prostitutes to entertain the miners. Their motto was: ‘get in, get rich, get out’. Now, in 2006, only seven inhabitants remain. In spite of this very small population, the city is burdened with accusations, gossip and murder.
In their own, characteristic style, Berlinbrings us a portrait of this strange ghost town. On stage, Bonanza is reconstructed in a scale-model (seven by three meters) and five screens represent the five inhabited houses. A unique portrait.
