STUK presents a special evening in the context of the exhibition, with a programme with films chosen by the artist. As an introduction to the film programme Anouk De Clercq will interview Desamory. Afterwards Kapital Band 1 will play a concert in the café.

The evening starts with visual artist and filmmaker Anouk De Clercq interviewing Desamory about her choice for the evening and her own films. Menken was one of the major avant-garde filmmakers in New York, active between 1940 and 1960. With a hand-held camera she created expressive images, paying particular attention to light, colour, texture, form and rhythm. Desamory selected Moonplay and (1964-66) en Glimpse of The Garden (1957). This film programme together last ca. 75 minutes. Venue is Cinema Zed in STUK.
