In zijn recente werk ontwikkelde Mathias Ringgenberg het fictionele karakter PRICE. PRICE laat hem toe om de mechanismen van mainstream pop te onderzoeken en te experimenteren met muzikale en performatieve formats. Zijn werk muteert voortdurend en kan telkens anders ervaren worden, van showroom tot club.

Op 19 mei kan je naar een toonmoment van PRICE op de eerste dag van Extract, een gebalde tweedagse met uitdagend werk van een nieuwe generatie makers.

Mathias Ringgenberg (born 1986 in Rio de Janeiro) finished 2015 the master theater & performing arts at the College of the arts Bern in Switzerland.
His works are musical and performative situations which deal with the topics of ‘love’, ‘faith’, ‘desire’ and ‘sex’. He uses the language of pop culture, which embodies the language of folk culture, the masses, society and globalisation. This aesthetic he brings in connection with sociological issues such as the issue of transparen- cy society of self-expression urge, the language as the house of being and how PRICE would say his homeless Generation Y.
