TRANSIT Late Night: Lucrecia Dalt + Claudia Molitor
Lucrecia Dalt is een Colombiaanse experimentele componist en vocalist die haar kenmerkende, buitenaardse stijl heeft ontwikkeld met zes albums en een groot aantal schitterende EP’s. Als geoloog van opleiding combineert ze akoestische en elektronische geluiden met sampling en conventionele songwriting om geologische fenomenen te verklanken. Haar nieuwste release Anticlines is een bevreemdende reis langs spoken word, vocale manipulatie, ijle ambient en Zuid-Amerikaanse ritmes.
De double bill opent met de creatie Decay van de Britse componist Claudia Molitor. Voor dit werk gaat Molitor een jaar lang aan de slag met lokale artiesten op elke plek waar ze speelt. Op die manier ontbindt en metamorfoseert het werk geleidelijk, totdat Decay een jaar later iets helemaal anders is geworden. In Leuven is muzikant Gerrit Valckenaers Molitors plaatselijke ‘sparring’ partner.
